@Mentions is the way to get someone’s attention in an email message or a meeting invite. We show you how easy it is to use the @ symbol directly in your Outlook.
@Mentions work in Outlook in much the same way as they do everywhere else you’ve used them. Type an “@” symbol in the body of an email or calendar invite and then start typing a name and any matching contacts will appear for you to select.
If you receive an email in which you’ve been mentioned, an “@” symbol will be visible in the Mention column.
Using @Mentions gives you a more dynamic email and you can even filter on all @Mentions to a certain person afterwards.
